Our story
Where the name came from.
The original idea was straightforward: put the materials for a bungalow shell into a shipping container, ready for DIYers and contractors to assemble. Bungalow in a box became Bungabox™.
Then homeowners started asking for something more: help building the entire unit. The demand for complete homes became the bigger focus, and that is what we are offering today—a finished Bungabox built on your property by Sunshine Custom Home Builders.
More than an ADU.
For some people, it is a place for a parent to live nearby. For others, a guest house, office, smaller home or a new way to enjoy the backyard. The goal comes first; the model is how we start shaping the space.

Sunshine Custom Home Builders, LLC brings the builder’s perspective to Bungabox: helping homeowners work through the practical decisions between an idea and a completed space.
The current focus is complete construction for the end user in Southwest Florida, with SIPs-based designs developed for each project and a separate imported factory-built option, the PLAD Homes ECO 1.
Materials kits and shell options remain part of the longer-term vision. They are not currently offered for purchase here.
